IMSCED at a Glance

The Act establishing Imo State College of Education was signed into law in 2010 and amended in 2014, the institution was approved by the National Commission for Colleges of Education(NCCE) in may 2017, the Approval covers four Schools namely;

1. School of General Education.
2. School of Languages.
3. School of Arts and Social sciences.
4. School of Sciences.

The College has numerous course combinations that are offered in the Nigerian Certificate in Education(NCE) program. Pre-NCE and Distance learning programs are also available.
This institution has been approved by Joint Admission and matriculation Board (JAMB), and has been allowed to admit up to 2000 students per session.
